The Eyes of Jesus

If Jesus was on the earth  right now
For everyone to see
What would you think of him and
Who would Jesus be

If you looked into his eyes
You’d have to look away
For there would be such an intensity
Of suffering and pain

But I don’t believe it would be his
Of how he died for us
But rather the sorrow of the world
Of the pain, the fear, and loss

Yes, his gentle eyes would look at you
And you’d know within your soul
That such wisdom and understanding
Is in no other man ever known

No artist no writer, no sculpture, no bard
Could ever fully define
The windows of my saviors soul
The eyes for Jesus Christ
