See it’s full colors, like ruby red lips
It beats faster with every attraction

A girl
So fun and bright
A smile on her lips with a heart of gold
See her trust with and open heart
She lets each one hold it in their hands

A boy
So wild and life giving
See him hold the heart gently in his hand
He asks to etch his name into her heart
Forever it will stay, engraved forever

A flow
Time flows and changes
See the new things come and go
The good and the bad together
Yet all things unsteady will fall

A heart
So dusty and unclear
It beats with blood pouring from the inside
See the markings of each soul that carves
It beats slower wore out from the inscription        

A girl
So broken and bruised
A weary look on her face reveals the pain
They all held her heart and now it is bruised
black from the pen that signed her heart

A boy
So wild and charming
See him play with the heart he held so dearly
He thought it was his but now it lies on the floor
He doesn’t want it and throws it away carelessly
